Boiled Over

She had reached the end of her patience.
Irritated. Frustrated. Defeated. That’s what she felt. The future looked bleak. She had given up completely. Obviously, there was no other way to end this.Β Without looking back, she looked down from where she was and leapt off.

Landing on the ground with a soft thud, Matrix purred, stretched and walked away. She would have to come back again when the milkpan had cooled off.

  1. Nice. When I read “She had reached the end of her patience.
Irritated. Frustrated. Defeated. That’s what she felt. The future looked bleak. She had given up completely” I thought this is the way I feel sometimes at the end of the day after work. πŸ™‚

    1. Oh, it can get a little too much at times, isn’t it! Maybe you could burp, stretch and walk away. πŸ™‚ Come back only when you feel better πŸ™‚

      1. LOL – if I walk away from my desk I will run and never come back πŸ™‚

  2. I was like oh no is she committing suicide? Then I realized it was a lovely cat. πŸ™‚

  4. Wow!! It has a great twist. It is really lovely that you invited me over. I had mistaken you for a travel writer. You have more potential as a storyteller. Great writing. Thank you πŸ™‚

    Love and light <3
