Story Continuation Challenge
I am considering hosting a ‘story continuation’ challenge.
Each week, there would be a one line beginning provided with an open ending. The challenge would be to continue the story by writing the subsequent line, in the comments.
The 2-line story may take whatever shape the participants (you!) choose to give it.
The challenge would remain open until the time the next weekβs prompt is shared.
You would even be free to use these comments as a prompt to develop a new story of your own and publish it on your own blog. (Would request you to mention relevant credits and include ping-backs, of course.)
What do you think of this idea? Does it seem interesting to you? Will you participate in a challenge like this?

I’m all in!
Awesome! Please look out for the first prompt sometime next week π
Curious! π though not confident of conyributing…
teri toh… !!!!
π Jokes apart, feel free to jump in and participate whenever you feel like. π
Yes, I find this idea interesting! π
Thanks, Surbhi! Would be great fun, I can assure you. π
I’m interested in the challenge too!
Thanks, Michelle. I shall launch the challenge soon. Appreciate your support. π
Yes, it is an interesting one. Together we all can build a great story with few lines. I’m in!
So true, and it would be fun to read all the different stories too. π
It sounds interesting. I am in and curious.
Great! Look forward to launching it soon. π
Cool. π
Sounds interesting.
Thanks, Indira. Shall count on you to join in the fun π
I’ll try dear.
Sounds like fun! π
Yes, and I am already trying to come up with the sentence prompts. I’m excited about this. Hope you will take part. π
Sure! Looking forward too! π
Sounds interesting. Is there a sentence limitation on the story continued in the comments?
A couple of sentences should be okay. But more than that would mean it has the potential to develop as a short story, and hence deserves longer space and better treatment as an independent post. What do you think?
That sounds good. Maybe you could say ‘complete the story in 3 sentences.’
That’s a great suggestion. π Thanks.
I’m interested. Sure I couldn’t resist putting in my two cents in the form of a sentence.

I’d be into that challenge!
Sounds like fun! β₯
Sounds like fun. Count me in. Question. What if you receive 25 one or two-liners for the same prompt?
Awesome! I’m planning to post the first prompt on Monday.
That would be great! The more the merrier, as that would mean 24 different stories for each participant to read π π
Oh, I thought you were creating one story. Look forward to reading the prompt.
Good idea.π Do start this challenge. I’m inπ
Awesome. I absolutely love your unusual takes on the prompts. Shall look forward to your one-line stories too.

Should be good, I tried doing something similar on an old blog I had, but my readership wasn’t that high so no one got involved! It’ll be great to read people’s contributions and get everyone’s imagination going.
Thank you. You’re so right. it’s indeed interesting to see the different direction each story takes. π
Hope to see you participate too π
