Trust! What’s that?

What would you say to someone who makes the same mistakes again and again, and again! What would you say to someone who despite their better judgement, does things which will cause pain and heart-ache.
What would you say to me, for again and again, making decisions that I know are not good for me!
Sick of trusting people too easily, and fed up of being betrayed by them time and again.
When someone shows you who they are the first time, believe them! – Maya Angelou
I just don’t learn my lesson, do I?
Maybe I should start a weekly on Life’s Lessons just to keep reminding myself to not be such a fool all the time.
Until then, i’ll just keep whacking myself on the head.

It’s very difficult to change the person you are and even harder to change someone else x I personally think it takes a brave person to trust over and over again xxx
Thank you Lisa, although I don’t know whether it’s really bravery or foolhardiness. Writing that sure helped, though. Not so worked up now. Posted this in the wrong thread earlier, so re-posting it here now 😀
I always enjoyed this saying to remind me to make wise/safe choices for myself in letting go of toxic people/situations in my life: “Insanity is continuing to drink the poison but expecting someone else to die.” Ouch! Yes, I must be the brave one sometimes to remove myself from the pain & suffering in my life. My motto for living has become much as (my) God has taught me in Matthew Chapter 10: As you enter a house, wish it peace. If the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; if not, let your peace return to you. Whoever will not receive you or listen to your words—go outside that house or town and shake the dust from your feet. I trust you are a loving, peaceful woman and deserve the same measure of peace returned to you that you extend. Hugs & blessings my friend!
Thank you Dawn Marie! Hugs and blessings to you too 🙂
Yes, don’t trust and don’t expect too much. People are here to fulfil their own destinies including you.
I hope you start feeling better 🙂
Love and light <3
Anand 🙂
It’s a fool thatlet’s others between then in the head. People are hard to deal with. Best not to to change your outlook, Some people are just assholes. 😀
True! And, I just don’t realise it soon enough. Maybe they should carry it a placard around that says, ” Hi, I am ****ole. Nice to meet you!” 😀 That would be so much more fun! 🙂
I’m sure there are those cards out there. I’ve known a few who needed them.
My favorite quote. Trust is earned!
Sounds like s rough day. Hope it gets better soon!
Love your idea of a weekly on Life’s Lessons post. Sounds like a great topic for a blog challenge 🙂
Sorry to post to you under these circumstances, but I think I might have turned into spam *again* 😢

This post speaks truth to my heart. So many times I let people into my life only to be let down. It has been a pattern for me, and it has happened so many times that now I barely let anyone in at all. I think i try to see the good in people when it really was never there to begin with. Like I force the good to be there so I can have someone in my life. Nobody wants to be lonely.
I know exactly what you mean!
